Size Guide

Womens’ clothing

Women’s clothing sizes vary significantly, even within a single brand but the following table can be used as a guide.

Men’s Clothing

Chest- Measure the fullest part of the chest by placing the measuring tape under the arms.

Children’s clothing

Height- Measure from the floor to the top of the head.
Chest- Measure the fullest part of the chest by placing the measuring tape under the arms.
Waist- Measure the waist at the height you would normally wear trousers.

Children’s footwear

Measuring for tall boots

Take measurements whilst seated and ideally get someone to do the measuring for you.

1. Your normal UK shoe size should be fine.
2. Measure around the widest part of your calf for the width.
3. Measure from the floor to the back of your knee for the height.
4. Some boots may drop after wearing-in.

Measurements are given in inches.

Rugs

The British and European systems for horse rug sizes are different.
British sizing – To measure for a rug which is sold in feet and inches, measure from the chest, along the side of the horse to the tail.
European sizing – To measure for a rug which is sold in centimetres, measure from the withers, along the back of the horse to the top of the tail.

The difference in these systems means that there is no equivalent of a 5′ 6″ or 6′ 3″ size for European sized rugs.
